For Techlicious.com, a service from a company called FairShare which has been great. You give them your RSS feed and they track, on a daily basis, where else your content is appearing and how much was reused. It's free (as opposed to Copyscape), so really a no brainer to sign up.

We've caught a few miscreants by using the Fairshare service. But realistically, most of the time it's just not worth the hassle to pursue unless they are using a platform like Blogger where the DMCA process is easy to pursue.

Here's the url for FairShare: https://fairshare.attributor.com/fairshare/homepage

For theft of pictures, watermarking your photos is the easiest deterrent. Obviously, you don't need to watermark everything, just those that you want to protect. If you don't have Photoshop or another high-end program, you can get a free program for Mac or Windows called GIMP that will allow you to do it. More information here: http://www.techlicious.com/how-to/how-to-watermark-your-photos/.
